Pursuant to the Normative Ruling no. 3.795 of June 16th, 2016 issued by the Brazilian Central Bank, the term to submit the statements related to the Annual Census of Foreign Capitals in Brazil, with a base date of December 31^st, 2017 (“2018 Census”) expires on August 15^th, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. (Brasilia local time).

Those who shall submit the statement are the following: (i) entities located in Brazil that had direct foreign investment, in any amount, with net equity equal or superior than the equivalent to US$100 million on December 31^st, 2017, (ii) the investment funds held by non-resident quotaholders, with net equity equal or superior than the equivalent to US$100 million on December 31^st, 2017, and (iii) entities located in Brazil that were debtors of short term credits (due until 360 days) granted by non-residents, in amounts equal or superior than the equivalent to US$10 million, on December 31^st, 2017.

The false, incomplete, inaccurate information, or the lack of timely provision of information, may give rise to the enforcement of penalties by BACEN to those obliged to submit the statement.

The information provided on the 2018 Census will make reference to December 31^st, 2017.

The statement shall be delivered by internet through the electronic system available on Central Bank of Brazil homepage (www.bcb.gov.br).
